The setting of this project was that Crate&Barrel wants to launch The Eames Store — a kind of store within a store — in some of their largest stores, and its online shopping store needs to be built in the existing Crate&Barrel website. The idea is to feature the furniture designs of Charles and Ray Eames; it’s a clean, modern style and their market research indicates that there’s a revival of interest in this classic look. The design requirements include 1. Design a “title page” for this website. 2. Design an introduction to the Eames line. 3. Design a “page” displaying 10 given products. 4. Design a special “page” for one particular product. 5. Design one additional “page” including information such as pricing, how to order, historical information, customer comments, reviews, the Eames’ impact on design, etc. 6. The site should be wireframed with minimal content represented and it should be a one-page experience site. Both new and old versions of its wireframe were shown below.
